IXYS, now part of Littelfuse, the global leader in circuit protection, announces the immediate introduction of the CPC1984Y, a 600V, Normally Open Power SIP Relay, rated for up to 1Adc / 1Arms continuous load current. This device utilizes optically coupled MOSFET technology to provide 4000Vrms of input to output isolation. The optically coupled outputs, employing IXYS ICD’s patented OptoMOS architecture, are controlled by a highly efficient infrared LED.

The 600V blocking voltage rating provides sufficient design margin for both 110Vrms/220Vrms power line applications for universal power supplies. Together, the low 0.66 Ohms on-resistance and high load current handling capability makes this relay suitable for a variety of high performance switching applications including industrial and motor controls, utility meters (Watt-hour, water, gas), instrumentation, medical equipment and home appliances.

Additional features include high reliability, low drive power requirements, arc-free switching with no snubbing circuits, no EMI/RFI generation, and a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
